Any Questions?

For interested rookies looking for a new sport and the future stars of our league and beyond, our drills and games will push players’ skills to their limits. Players will have the opportunity to develop all areas of their game, from offensive skills like passing, dribbling and shooting, to defensive skills such as reading opponents’ moves and defending as part of a team.

Not only that, but our coaches will work with young people to understand why these skills are important and how being a good teammate, leadership, and sportsmanship are the keys to success in basketball and later life.

Our Coaches:

Our coaches are all qualified to industry standard and have experience playing and/or coaching at local, university, and National League (NBL) levels. Together, our coaches have extensive experience in the education sector, working with young people from various backgrounds, and basketball coaching in Europe and North America.

About LincolnBasketball:

Our league gathers some of the best players in the area for fast-paced, exciting league games and tournaments. We combine the benefits of a new league structure with passionate members and well-established teams with rich histories and rivalries.

Progress so far:

Fast forward to 2023, LincolnBasketball has further expanded its outreach and impact. We proudly introduced an under-16 team into the North East Lincolnshire league, bringing fresh talent and passion for the game. In addition, we've launched the 'Lincoln Knights' as a development team in the Men's Lincoln CVL, a testament to our commitment to nurturing basketball talents and providing platforms for them to shine. Beyond competitive play, our passionate coaches have taken the game to schools across Lincolnshire, conducting sessions in both traditional and wheelchair basketball. Through these initiatives, we teach the sport and foster inclusivity, discipline, and teamwork among the youth.

Between October 2021 and August 2022, LincolnBasketball coaches took a small group of local players and created a close-knit junior session. By summer 2022, the group had played and won two friendlies against an established local club, and three players had been signposted into a competitive men’s team in the LincolnBasketball 5v5 league. One player now attends an elite academy in the UK on a full academic scholarship.

All players made significant progress in basketball and their personal development, teamwork and leadership skills. LincolnBasketball will begin an expanded junior offer on 22/23, with sessions for 13 to 18-year-olds at Deans Sport and Leisure.
