A change in format – in with the old

Welcome to the LincolnBasketball League.
Following your requests, we will be bringing Home and Away basketball back to Lincolnshire. Expressions of interest from teams are encouraged from today to claim your spot in full-length, traditional 5v5 basketball, played across the county. As ever, LincolnBasketball will administer the league structure, set fixtures, and so on, and you will be able to take turns playing host and guest to each other throughout the season for a place in the Finals. We have been eager to reintroduce full-format play for some time, and we hope you agree that now is the right time.

If Deans Sport and Leisure is like a second home to you after all these years (it is for us!), then all is not lost, as we will also be running a round-robin tournament resulting in a playoff structure from our stomping ground at Deans. This will be the home of our familiar and fast-paced CVL-style play – running clock, two games per evening, in the house of basketball in Lincoln. This is where our basketball culture will continue to thrive, with old and new teams testing their mettle on a regular schedule of games. 3x3 Events
We are also keen to share that we will be taking short breaks throughout the year to host 3x3 events – whether one-night-only sessions or extended tournaments.

What now?

A) Gather your teams together and let us know ASAP if you intend to join the LB League, LB Cup, or both.
B) Make sure you have a suitable venue for League play. If necessary, we can work with you to host games at Dean's, subject to availability.
C) Make sure you have at least one Level 2 Referee and a qualified Table Official to run your home games effectively. If not, you may need to be hosted by us, again, subject to availability.
